Among Others, wow. If I could send one book back in time to my eight-to-fourteen-year-old self, this would probably be it. The narrator is so completely the same kind of young person I was that I kept wanting to read bits of it out to people, except that often the bits I wanted to read out didn't come in handy lumps of "this sentence" and so on, it was just "most of this book piles up to be someone quite a lot like me".
