this is why you need us.

The Urban Fantasy Novel, first draft in-progress:

280 / 350

The ridiculous revision dash (by wordcount in thousands), novel I wrote last summer:

6.4 / 80

Other tasks accomplished: made blueberry-strawberry pancakes, baked raspberry muffins, slushed for Ideomancer, read part of Jo Walton's The King's Peace. (Can you tell that one of the things I enjoy most about summer is berries?)

We could call that a day.

How are you liking The King's Peace?

About seventy pages in, I went "Oh, it's Arthuriana." Then I got distracted by new shiny Megan Whalen Turner books. When I go back, I'm a little afraid that my brain will just shelve it under Arthuriana and be done--I was enjoying it before, and I think I still will, it just is stuck into a different category now. So--I'm not sure!

It kind of is, but more that it's inspired by Arthuriana than that it's a retelling of the story you know.
