I do not have 30k; I still have a dragon. (I have deleted and re-written this bit several times by now. I think this one may continue to progress.)

I have not done laundry, but I have a book of Czeslaw Milosz's poetry and got called both "sir" and "guv'nor" in Amherst today (I was wearing my hat and a tuxedo jacket), so I am pretty pleased with the world anyway. I can always do laundry tomorrow morning--it's not like anyone will be using the washing machines on Sunday morning, right?
