Last year I biked to Fourth Street and planned my route badly, so there ended up being a fence where I wanted to go and I had to go a few miles out of my way to get around the fence. So maybe it's tradition now, that someone will do it each year? (On second thought, maybe that's a tradition I'd prefer not to have.)
